For my Propaganda Project, I decided to focus on the issue of literacy in children because it is still such a problem. I chose to sculpt a tree because it symbolizes knowledge and wisdom. To create a contrast between literacy and illiteracy, I created blank white leaves and green leaves with book titles on them. This color difference was intended to show that will the ability to read you can live a full and rich life, while without it, life is blank and boring.
